Following its premiere on 4 October in Singapore, the Eco-Business documentary exploring the link between melting ice sheets in the northern polar region and Asia is now online.
Arctic Awakening, the centerpiece of Eco-Business’ Changing Course 2019 exhibition at the Marina Bay Sands’ ArtScience Museum, features breathtaking shots of the Arctic landscape. Through interviews with residents and researchers, the 21-minute documentary shows how humans have impacted even the most remote places on earth, and how communities near and far will feel the impact of rising sea levels, altered ecosystems and more extreme weather.
Produced and directed by Eco-Business managing editor Jessica Cheam and video journalist Fraser Morton, who both journeyed to the Arctic earlier this year, the documentary has played to thousands of visitors at the museum since its premiere.
Changing Course 2019, which runs until Nov 3, also features photographs and an immersive 360° video that takes viewers to the Arctic, a water-stressed precinct in Chennai in India and Singapore’s port, one of the world’s busiest and which is taking major steps to prepare for rising sea levels.
Visitors will also learn about ways in which they can help slow down climate change.
