Khairun Nisa Mohamed Zabidi

Country Director, Malaysia

Khairun joins Eco Business with over 15 years of experience in corporate responsibility, sustainability reporting and standards, ESG strategy and integration as well as capacity building for the mitigation and adaptation of climate change for the private, public and third sector.

In her past life, Khairun managed Malaysia’s largest International Climate Finance (ICF) investments via the UK Partnerships for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK-PACT) programme, consulted high-profile corporate clients on future-proofing their businesses with PwC’s Southeast Asia Sustainability Consulting practice, founded an equal opportunity zero-waste social enterprise, practiced CSR in corporate Malaysia and lobbied the UNFCCC negotiations as a climate youth activist.

As a sustainability practitioner, connector and coach with an exceptionally broad range of experiences, Khairun considers herself a catalyst and cross-pollinator of sustainability solutions and is drawn to opportunities that promise high transformational change and impact potential.

Khairun is a Chevening and Astro scholar, a 2020 Gen.T Lister, a Prestige 40 Under 40 and Prestige Malaysia 100 Women of Power 2022.

She is double hatting her role as EB Malaysia’s Country Director in tandem with running Nusanterra Consulting, a conservation finance advisory outfit that seeks to identify, unlock and channel finance into conserving tropical forests.
