Building biodiversity – the natural resource management approach

Building biodiversity – the natural resource management approach

The Co-Chairs of the International Resource Panel hosted by the United Nations Environment Programme (Izabella Teixeira, former Environment Ministry of Brazil and Janez Potocnik, former European Commissioner for Environment and Science) have just released their think piece Building Biodiversity – The Natural Resource Management Approach.

In view of the next Conference of the Parties of the Convention on Biological Diversity to be held in October, it aims to provide policymakers with key messages about the central importance of natural resource management in turning biodiversity loss into value.

The think piece promotes four key principles of natural resource management and features case studies from all around the world on their successful implementation in various contexts.

Please find the Youtube link to the video. For further information on the think piece, please visit the United Nations Environment Programme and the International Resource Panel websites.
